This flag artist's book titled 'LURA ALTA' features photos of my Great-great-great Aunt Lura Alta Fegenbush Blair — to whom I bear an uncanny resemblance — and a macro image of my own eye on the 'flags'.  The concepts of family history and memory are constant inspirations to me.  Sadly, Lura died at age 36 from pulmonary arteriosclerosis and had no children.  I have several items of hers including her Bible, a beautiful mother of pearl pin with an L on it, a sterling silver thimble, and a little trinket box.  If I ever have a daughter, I plan to name her Lura Alta.
